SKID STEER / BOBCAT

A Skid steer is a versatile vehicle that is construction equipment and generally used for digging. Various tools can be attached to it as an arm so that it can perform various construction and landscaping job. Its wheels can not be turned but left and right sides have different engines so they can be driven separately.


A skid Steer can be of a small frame, medium frame, and large frame and they all have different purposes. Some important uses of bobcat are given below.


  • Clearing Snow 

  • Excavating 

  • Construction Trenching 

  • Digging



If you want to get a license for skid steer then you have to get a  skid steer training where you will be trained with professionals who have many years of experience and they will be helping you behind the controls. After successfully completing training they will issue a  nationally recognized statement of attainment certificate plus a photo ID card on completion of the course.

 

Potential training students must:

  • Be at least 15 years old at the commencement of training (WH&S requirement)

  • Provide two forms of ID

  • Be able to read and write basic English (WH&S requirement) 

  • Wear steel cap boots or sturdy work boots to training

 

The nationally recognized training program gives trainees the required skills and knowledge to carefully and efficiently operate a skid steer loader (bobcat) and operate in a range of different working conditions. On completion the trainees will be able to proficiently understand and perform:

  • Legislations and rules applicable to operating a skid steer loader

  • Risk management, conduct procedures & prepare for skid steer loader operations

  • Operate skid steer loader (Bobcat)

  • Load, transport and place materials

  • Select, switch and fit attachments

  • Relocate the skid steer loader

  • Perform machine operator maintenance

  • Supervise housekeeping
